PURPOSE OF THE REPORT
Purpose of this page is to describe the modalities governing the site’s management as regards the treatment of personal data pertaining to the users accessing it. The informative report is rendered only for the site of Filmcutter S.p.a. and not also for other web sites possibly consulted by the user through links. Treatments connected with this site’s web services are processed at the above-mentioned location of Filmcutter S.p.a and are dealt with only by technical staff belonging to the Office entrusted with the processing, or by persons eventually entrusted with occasional maintenance operations. The treatment of the data takes place on the basis of their storage in information systems’ files at the company listed above, whose access to the data is limited to maintenance procedures in compliance with the provisions of attachment B (Leg. Dec. No. 196/2003). No data element deriving from the web service gets divulged; in case of communication being made to third parties, the specific informative notifications will make this evident. Personal data provided by users are utilised only with the aim of providing the service or the requested performance, and are registered only when users give the consent.
TYPES OF DATA TREATED
Information systems and software procedures deployed for the operation of this website will be fed, during their normal operation, with several data elements (c.d. log files) whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. These are information elements that are not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but that by their very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow the users to be identified. This category of data encompasses the following: IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilised by the users connecting to the site, addresses in URI notation (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources required, the time of request, the method utilised in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (correct ending, error, etc.) and other parameters relative to the operative system and to the user’s information technology environment. These data elements are utilised only for the purpose of drawing anonymous statistical information on the site’s use and to check on its correct operation. The data could be utilised for ascertaining responsibilities in case of hypothetical IT offences damaging the site and could be handed to the Judicial Authorities, should this be explicitly demanded.
Data freely provided by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site implies the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary for replying to requests, as well as other possible personal data included in the e-mail.
On this subject, no users’ personal data is collected by the site. Cookies are not utilised for the transmission of information of a personal nature, nor are systems utilised for the tracking and identification of the users. The use of c.d. cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow the secure and efficient exploration of the site and utilised for statistical purposes in detecting single monthly visitors. The cookie can be deleted by the navigator by utilising the functions of his own navigation programme.
DATA CONFERMENT OPTIONALITY
Aside from whatever was specified for the navigation data, the user is free to provide the personal data elements appearing in request forms or, in any case, indicated during contacts with the Office to prompt the sending of informative material or other communications. Failed conferment could imply impossibility in obtaining what was requested. For completeness of information, it should be remembered that in some cases (not object of the ordinary management of this site) the Authority could require data elements and information in compliance with art 157 of Leg. Dec. No. 196/2003, for the purpose of personal data treatment control. In these cases, the reply is compulsory on pain of administrative sanction.
MODALITIES OF THE TREATMENT
Personal data are processed through automated instruments for the time strictly necessary to deal with the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are observed in order to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
RIGHTS OF PERSON INVOLVED
The persons to whom the personal data refer, are at all times entitled to obtain confirmation on the actual existence of data concerning them, and to have their content and origin revealed, their correctness verified or to demand their integration, updating, or rectification (art. 7 of Leg. Dec. No. 196/2003). In compliance with the same article the person to whom the data refers is entitled to request their deletion, transformation into an anonymous form or the blocking of data illegally treated, as well as in any case opposing, for legitimate reasons, their treatment.
